Short Film (Narrative) – Fictional films under 40 minutes

A category dedicated to traditional storytelling in short-form fiction. These films showcase compelling narratives, character-driven plots, and diverse genres such as drama, comedy, romance, and action.

Documentary Short – Non-fiction films under 40 minutes

This category highlights real-life stories, social issues, and impactful documentaries in a concise format. Whether investigative, historical, or human-interest driven, these films bring truth to the screen in an engaging way.

Student Film – Films created by student filmmakers

Celebrating the fresh voices of emerging filmmakers, this category is open to students currently enrolled in film schools or academic institutions. It provides a platform for young creators to share their perspectives and showcase their talent.

Animated Short – Short-form animated films

A category for all forms of animation, from hand-drawn to CGI and stop-motion. These films bring imaginative worlds to life through visual storytelling, often exploring themes in ways that live-action cannot.

Experimental Film – Avant-garde or non-traditional storytelling

For filmmakers pushing the boundaries of conventional cinema, this category embraces abstract, surreal, and unconventional storytelling. These films often emphasize artistic expression, sound design, and unique visual aesthetics.

Web Series / Digital Series – Short episodic content

Horror / Thriller Short – Suspenseful, scary, or psychologically intense films

Music Video / Dance Film – Music-driven or choreography-based storytelling

This category blends the power of music with cinematic storytelling, featuring visually dynamic music videos or dance-centered films. Whether narrative-driven or abstract, these films use movement and rhythm to engage audiences in unique ways.

Two-Minute Film – Ultra-short storytelling

This category challenges filmmakers to tell a complete and compelling story in just two minutes or less. These films rely on concise storytelling, strong visuals, and impactful moments to engage audiences quickly

Silent Film – Films told without spoken dialogue

Inspired by early cinema, silent films use visual storytelling, music, and expressive performances to convey emotion and narrative. This category highlights the power of cinematography and physical acting to communicate without words.

Mockumentary – Fictional films presented in documentary style
