Billy Townes
Pianist
Billy Townes, born in New York City, was introduced to music at an early age by his mother, a piano teacher, while they were living in Okinawa, Japan. He attended Irvin High School and later studied Aeronautics and Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Townes has had a long-standing musical career in El Paso, Texas, and is also known for his work in film, including “Border Lords 2” (2010), “Border Lords 3: Bloodlines” (2021), and “Da Pinche Code” (2012).

creativELPASO exists to promote, support and develop the Film, Music, Design and Photography industries in El Paso to contribute a positive economic benefit to the city. The El Paso Film & Creative Industries Commission celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024, marking decades of supporting film, TV, and multimedia production. Established in 1974 after El Paso’s rise in the Texas film industry, it has contributed millions to the local economy. This milestone will be honored with special events and social media highlights, reinforcing its commitment to filmmakers for the future.
