In its inaugural year, the Elevate El Paso Film Festival is the result of a diverse group of creatives from across multiple states coming together to bring something fresh and dynamic to El Paso’s filmmaking scene. United by our passion for storytelling and the arts, we aim to elevate local cinema, foster new opportunities, and inspire others to pursue a creative life. This festival is more than an event—it’s a movement to empower filmmakers and reshape the future of independent film in our region.
Our Mission
The Elevate El Paso Film Festival is a grassroots movement dedicated to empowering and uplifting independent filmmakers by providing a platform for creative expression, cultural diversity, and professional growth. Rooted in the bi-national, tri-state region of Far West Texas, Southern New Mexico, and Northern Mexico, we strive to unite and bridge the gap between El Paso’s emerging film scene and the internationally recognized, long-standing film festivals worldwide.
Through our partnership with WeFilmFestivals, an organization that connects and supports numerous established international film festivals, and is operating in Phoenix – Arizona, Albuquerque – New Mexico, Montreal – Canada, Paris – France and Beirut – Lebanon; we provide a gateway for local filmmakers to gain global recognition and industry connections. Our goal with these collaborations, is to create mutual growth opportunities for filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts beyond all borders. We seek to ensure that El Paso becomes an integral part of the international film circuit.
More than just a festival, this is a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen the local film industry and economy by providing a platform for businesses, sponsors, and community leaders to directly support the booming creative sector. Through strategic partnerships, networking events, and industry panels, we aim to solidify El Paso as a vibrant hub for independent cinema, bringing in fresh talent, investment, and opportunities that benefit both local and global filmmaking communities.
